On Tuesday, polls by USA TODAY/Suffolk University revealed that, even though she has a comfortable lead among Latinos in swing states Arizona and Nevada, Democratic candidate Kamala Harris was lagging behind President Joe Biden’s 2020 numbers, which he rode on his way to winning both states. Perhaps more worrying, however, was that the polls also revealed that her support among young Latino men, a key demographic, is dwindling.

On Wednesday, the vice president’s campaign decided to take action on the matter by announcing the launch of “Hombres con Harris,” a new initiative aimed at mobilizing Latino men in the so-called battleground states ahead of the November 5 election, according to NBC News.

To kick off the initiative, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, Harris’ running mate, will hold a rally in Phoenix, Arizona, alongside Congressman Rubén Gallego, an Iraq War veteran who is running for one of Arizona’s Senate seats. Mexican actor Jaime Camil, known for his roles in telenovelas and the U.S. series “Jane the Virgin”, will also participated in the event.
