Bracelet With Affirmations

Written by Parriva — December 7, 2024

After years of bullying, I started making bracelets in college for myself and my sorority sisters. The wearable affirmations reminded us of our worth, and got us through the tough times together. Ten years and millions of bracelets later, the Little Words Projectâ„¢ community is living proof that kindness is a superpower. Thanks so much for being here, and remember: just be nice.

Adriana Carrig is the founder and CEO of the Little Words Project, a company that sells bracelets to spread kindness, acceptance, and love:

    • How it started

Carrig created her first bracelets in college as a way to inspire kindness, self-love, and sisterhood.

    • Growth

After graduating from the College of New Jersey, Carrig turned her college project into a full business. The Little Words Project now has:

        • Nine stores nationwide
        • Pop-up shops in Disney parks and other locations
    • A presence in Target stores
    • A mall location at Minnesota’s Mall of America
  • Mission

Carrig’s mission is to create empowerment tools that help people share kind words with others and create real-life connections.

  • Inspiration

Carrig was bullied from a young age and wanted to create something that would inspire kindness and self-love. She says her mother, a Mexican immigrant, instilled in her that if you want something badly enough, you can achieve it.
