A strong storm has moved out of Southern California, but the region will continue to see rain and mountain snow on Friday.
The new storm system isn’t expected to bring heavy downpours. It appears there will be a break from the rain overnight, but it returns to the region during the morning commute. Rain chances dwindle in the afternoon.
A winter storm warning remains in effect in the mountains through Saturday morning. Travel in the Grapevine could be impacted by the snow.
The weekend should be dry with some warming. There’s a slight chance of showers Monday.
Los Angeles and Orange counties Friday can expect a high of 54 and a low of 43. Up to 1/4 inch of rain is expected.
The valleys and Inland Empire Friday can expect a similar amount of rainfall. A high of 54 and a low of 39 is on tap.
Beaches can expect light rain, with 3-5 ft. surf. Temperatures will be in the mid-50s in the afternoon and drop to the mid-40s overnight.
Mountains can expect 2-4 inches of snow at elevations around 6,000 feet. Sunshine returns during the weekend.
Deserts Friday can expect a slight chance of showers, with a high of 52 and a low of 32. Palm Springs will reach a high of 64.
