The regional Mexican star accuses MusicVip of hiding the real reason behind the tour’s sudden pause.
The “Dos Primos de Cuidado” tour by Luis Ángel “El Flaco” and Luis Antonio López “El Mimoso” was conceived as a joint celebration of their careers in regional Mexican music. However, Luis Ángel “El Flaco” shared on Instagram this past Friday night that, due to circumstances beyond his control, the tour has been canceled. The tour has been temporarily paused due to both artists’ individual commitments.
Sinaloan singer Luis Ángel “El Flaco” is currently celebrating his 25-year career with a series of solo concerts, including performances at the Auditorio Nacional and Auditorio Telmex.
The “Dos Primos de Cuidado” tour was set to include performances of hits by both artists. From El Flaco, songs like “Y Si Se Quiere Ir”, “En Esta Vida No Se Pudo”, and “Qué Se Siente?” were on the setlist. Meanwhile, Luis Antonio López “El Mimoso” planned to thrill fans with songs like “Tengo Que Regresar” and “Te Vas.”
Although the tour has been put on hold, there’s still a possibility it will resume in the future, once both artists fulfill their current obligations.
MusicVip, the tour’s promoter, posted a statement on its social media saying it would not be possible to continue with the tour. In response, Luis Ángel “El Flaco” expressed disappointment on Instagram, criticizing the promoter for its lack of professionalism and for not publicly disclosing the real reasons behind the tour’s cancellation in Mexico and the United States.
Luis Ángel “El Flaco,” originally from Mazatlán, Sinaloa, began his musical career 25 years ago. He was formerly a member of Banda Los Recoditos from Mazatlán. As a solo artist, he has released several hits, including “Amor Borrachito” and “Amor Bonito,” the latter reaching #1 on the Billboard charts.
As for Luis Antonio López “El Mimoso,” he also has around 25 years of experience in regional Mexican music. He spent several years as a vocalist for Banda El Recodo of Don Cruz Lizárraga before launching his solo career.
