Trump launches his anti-immigration campaign on Mexican television: “Criminals are not welcome”
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem posted a video on social media in February announcing the launch of a “multi-million dollar national and international advertising campaign to warn illegal immigrants to leave our country now or face deportation and inability to return to the United States.”
Barely two months later, those same ads are airing on Mexican television during soccer games and prime-time programs. “If you are considering coming to the United States illegally, don’t even think about it. Let me be clear: If you come to our country and violate our laws, we will hunt you down. Criminals are not welcome,” Noem says in the ad.
