A video circulating on social media sparked outrage in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, after a foreigner, presumably American, berated a construction worker for eating on a sidewalk near his home.

Protest Called on Social Media

In response to the incident, Mazatlán residents and social media users began sharing the location of the foreigner’s home, located on Cruz Lizárraga Avenue in the Tellerías neighborhood.

Through various platforms, a call was made for a collective meal to be held in front of the house last Wednesday afternoon, starting at 2:00 PM. The organizers asked for people to bring food as the only condition for participating. Hundreds showed up.
