It was last Saturday, May 27, when Alejandro Sanz’s fans became very concerned and uncertain, after the singer shared a worrying message through his Twitter account.
The 54-year-old singer-songwriter opened this message with “I’m not fine” and assured that he was working to make that feeling go away as soon as possible.
Quickly, followers and fellow musicians wrote him messages of help. However, after Sanz’s words, the singer did not appear on the scene again until this Monday.
It was also on his Twitter account where the singer of songs like Amiga Mia and Corazón Partio thanked each of the messages that people sent him to see him happy.
Sanz mentioned that, although the difficult days have not yet passed, a “firefly” has awakened in his chest.
“These days I have received a lot of love in different ways and I am very grateful for all of them. I had a strong outbreak this weekend and although the light has not yet finished arriving, it seems that a firefly has woken up in my chest,” he wrote.
Finally, he mentioned that despite having received messages to take a breather, he will not cancel the tour that he has undertaken. Also, that he will not lock himself up since he does not believe that it is the right path.
“I don’t want to suspend the tour because I think that with the right help and a little understanding and support at the shows, we are going to move it forward. Besides, I think that locking myself up is not a good idea. Thanks for the warmth. Let’s go for the day tomorrow. The sun is on its way,” he concluded.
After Sanz now wrote these encouraging words, thousands of followers reiterated his love and support for the Spaniard to let him know that he was not “alone” in this fight.
