“We must rise up and move forward. In a few days, a new administration will take office in the country, and it will be a challenging time,” Vaquerano added

ClĂnica Romero has joined numerous organizations in a donation campaign for the victims of the fires that have ravaged Los Angeles in recent days.

“This is a time when Latinos must unite, especially the organizations that have historically supported the community. We cannot remain idle; there is much need,” said the clinic’s President and CEO, Carlos Vaquerano.

The fires that affected the Palisades and Eaton areas caused devastating damage, turning entire towns into ghost towns. Not only were residents affected, but also the workers who commuted to these areas daily.

“These fires have created a devastating situation. The community that ClĂnica Romero serves is one that has lost their jobs—essential workers, gardeners, construction workers, restaurant staff, housekeepers, and others. We are identifying those affected, including our patients and their families,” added Vaquerano.

Yesterday’s event was held at The LA Dream Center, where organizations worked together to distribute food, supplies, and other necessary items during this critical time.

Vaquerano also announced the launch of the Together We Rebuild, Together We Heal campaign, which aims to help affected essential workers.

“We have committed more than $150,000 to support those affected,” said Vaquerano.

“We must rise up and move forward. “We must rise up and move forward. This are unpresidented times and we most take bold actions to ensure our community receives the help they need and deserve,” he added.
