These are complicated times. The issue of immigration is not only on the country’s agenda but also on the global stage.
“Immigration policies have strengthened. Not only in the country but also internationally. Right-wing policies have strengthened, but the migration phenomenon has increased. It’s part of the political and economic changes, especially after Covid,” says Alex Galvez, an immigration lawyer.

He has dedicated his professional life to representing thousands of immigrants across the country, specifically before USCIS, Immigration Court, Bond Proceedings, BIA Court of Appeals, and various Federal Courts of Appeals.
Graduating from the Faculty of Law at Syracuse University, NY, and Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, CA, Alex Galvez earned a doctorate in law in 2007 and was admitted to practice law in 2009.

International migration taught us one thing: social mobility is a necessity for communities. We have to establish fairer policies that are in line with the needs of the countries. The United States needs millions of jobs filled, the same as Mexico and many other countries. The country’s economy requires them, but not recognizing them is a mistake,” he says.
For this lawyer, his work is a total commitment.
“We are dealing with life-or-death cases. It’s not a game; for these communities, their lives are at stake in their cases,” he adds.
For him, the world is experiencing one of the greatest transformations in the history of humanity.
“There is a lot of movement, and it’s logical; the Covid pandemic left its mark on us,” he says. “But the United States remains synonymous with the American Dream. People keep coming here in search of opportunities they don’t have in their countries,” he says.
Alex Galvez has a clear and transparent voice.
“We are here for the community. Yes, it’s difficult, we hear many things, many stories of tragedies. But it’s one of our jobs to help them solve them,” he adds. The lawyer has become a true voice within the community, helping many people resolve their immigration situations.
“People will continue to migrate where they can; this immigration situation is very difficult, and we are and will be here to help,” he says.
From 2014 to 2017, lawyer Galvez pushed for comprehensive immigration reform before House Speaker John Boehner, Representative Luis Gutierrez, Representative Xavier Becerra, and Representative Nancy Pelosi. From 2019 to 2020, Alex was an immigration analyst for El Show de Mandril.
In September 2015, lawyer Alex Galvez traveled to Washington DC and Philadelphia with the family of Jersey Vargas to support Pope Francis. Lawyer Galvez also represented 5 Mexican mothers of the disappeared “43 normalistas” students who obtained their emergency visas to visit Pope Francis during his historic trip to the United States.
