Los Angeles.—The 2023 East LA Film Festival will take place on Saturday, October 28th at the East LA Civic Center, promising a thrilling cinematic event. The festival, which has become a prominent showcase for independent films and underrepresented voices, will highlight the creative and diverse spirit of our community, while increasing public awareness.
“Eastmont Community Center and The East LA Society of Film and Arts (TELASOFA) have come together to produce the East LA Film Festival with the mission of Provoking Thought and Inspiring Solutions; Through film we are able to provide education and engagement on issues affecting our East LA Community.” said Juan Escobedo, Founder & Director; Board President of TELASOFA.
The East LA Film Festival will feature household names like Fabian Alomar From Flaming Hot, Mayans, and This Fool; Carlos Carrasco, from Blood in Blood Out; Laura Patalano from Hulu’s This Fool, and Eric Ochoa from Cholo Housewives.
The event’s program includes performances by guest artists and will have food vendors and artisans; as well as a red-carpet moment, the film showcase, followed by this year’s awards.
