Julio César Chávez is very active at 62 years old. The former boxer is constantly traveling due to his work as an analyst for TV Azteca, in addition to his work at his rehabilitation clinic.
However, despite being one of the great legends of national boxing, the César del Boxeo is not exempt from the insecurity that prevails in the country, as he recently revealed that he was a victim of crime.
What happened to Julio César Chávez?
Julio César Chávez surprised many with a statement he made to ESPN. The Ciudad Obregón native revealed the tense moment he experienced after being robbed at gunpoint.
“Friends, I want to inform you that I’m fine, thank God. Thank you for worrying about me. The truth is, yes, they jumped me, put a gun to my head, took my watch, my chain. Well, that’s the material stuff, it doesn’t matter. The important thing is that I’m talking about it,” said Julio César.
On the other hand, he demanded that the authorities increase their control over motorcyclists, as it is well known that in many parts of the country, there are gangs dedicated to stealing from the aforementioned vehicles.
What I do want to tell the authorities is, please, they should stop all motorcyclists, all of them, even if it’s just one or two, they should stop them all, because all those motorcyclists are the ones who steal, they are the ones who assault, they are the ones who kill.
“Please, authorities, heed the call. Stop all motorcycles, please, stop them, stop them so we can search them, because they have guns and they’re the ones who rob. Thank you,” concluded the César del Boxeo.
