Every year in California, millions of pounds of unhealthy pesticides are sprayed on their agricultural fields. The most exposed are agricultural workers and residents of rural areas, mostly Latinos and also from other ethnic groups. But next year the risks could be reduced when a system of virtual alerts is established before the fumigations.
