  • Trigger the release of “happy” chemicals: Flowers trigger the release of dopamine, serotonin, and oxytocin in the brain. 
  • Help people heal faster: Flowers can help people heal faster through color, scent, and symbolism. 

You can incorporate flowers into your daily life in several ways, including: 

  • Bringing flowers indoors: Keep fresh flowers in your home. 
  • Practicing mindfulness: Combine mindfulness practices with nature walks. 
  • Arranging and caring for flowers: The act of arranging and caring for flowers can trigger the release of “happy” chemicals. 
  • Bringing a piece of nature indoors: Bringing flowers into your home or workplace can help you feel better. 
The color of the flower can also influence your mood:
  • Blue flowers: Can help with relaxation and stress reduction.
  • Warm colors: Orange, yellow, and red can evoke uplifted emotions.
