America’s pastime takes center stage in a city that’s ready to steal the Olympic spotlight.

“As the host city of the 2028 Games, Los Angeles will become the third city in history to host the Summer Olympics three times, and these venues will showcase the best of our city,” said LA Mayor Karen Bass.

The organizers of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games announced the official venues on Tuesday, confirming that baseball will take place at Dodger Stadium and triathlon events will be held at Venice Beach.

Across the Los Angeles region:

  • Anaheim will host volleyball.
  • Squash will make its Olympic debut in the San Fernando Valley, set against the cinematic backdrop of Universal Studios Lot, known for films like To Kill a Mockingbird and Back to the Future.
  • Boxing will return to the Olympic program, with preliminary rounds at the Peacock Theatre and finals at the Crypto.com Arena (formerly Staples Center) in downtown Los Angeles.
  • Cricket will make a comeback to the Olympics for the first time in over a century, with matches to be played at the Pomona Fairgrounds, located on the West Coast.

Other iconic locations will be involved in the 2028 Games:

  • The LA Memorial Coliseum, a historic venue from the 1932 and 1984 Olympics, will once again play a central role.
  • SoFi Stadium in Inglewood is expected to host the opening and closing ceremonies.
  • The UCLA campus will serve as the Olympic Village, housing thousands of athletes from around the world.
  • Events like BMX racing and skateboarding are slated for downtown LA, incorporating its vibrant urban culture.

The 2028 Summer Olympics are scheduled to take place from July 14 to July 30, 2028.
