These elections are very important for California and the Latino voter plays a very important role. Here’s how you can do it, no matter if you don’t want to go to the polls.

Vote by mail
If you’re registered to vote in California, you probably already have a ballot. State law required counties to start mailing ballots to every voter no later than Oct. 10.
No postage is required and you can mail your ballot anytime before Nov. 8. It will count as long as it’s postmarked on or before Election Day and received by your county’s register of voters by Nov. 15.
California has a website — wheresmyballot.sos.ca.gov — that lets voters track their ballot and receive emails, texts or voicemails about its status.

Vote early
Not comfortable mailing in your ballot? You can drop it off at an official drop box between now and 8 p.m. Election Day. Here’s where to find them:

Los Angeles County:
Visit www.lavote.gov/home/voting-elections/voting-options/vote-by-mail/vbm-ballot-drop-off
San Bernardino County:
Visit sbcountyelections.com/voting/mailballotdropoff/

Los Angeles and Riverside counties have vote centers open to all registered voters who live in their county. Vote centers allow people to vote in person or drop off their mail-in ballots.

Riverside County vote center locations:

Visit www.voteinfo.net and click on “Vote Center Location Map” or “Vote Center Locations”

LA County vote centers are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. through Monday, Nov. 7, while Riverside County vote centers are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Nov. 7. Vote centers in both counties are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Election Day.

To learn more about early in-person voting locations in San Bernardino County — most locations are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. between now and Nov. 7 and closed Sunday, Nov. 6 — visit: sbcountyelections.com/voting/early/

Early in-person voting is also available at county registrar offices.

Riverside County Registrar: 2724 Gateway Drive, Riverside (Voting from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays through Nov. 7; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 5 and 6 and 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Election Day)

San Bernardino County registrar: 777 E. Rialto Ave., San Bernardino (Voting from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and Saturday, Nov. 5 and 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Election Day)

Vote on Election Day
Vote centers in LA and Riverside counties and San Bernardino County polling places will be open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Voters also can drop off their mail-in ballots at vote centers.
